Traffic Report are Christian Rütz from Copenhagen and Marc Brauner from Berlin. They met in the summer of 2016 in Berlin and soon after started jamming, producing and readying a live set, culminating in their debut album Traffic Jams on Redlight Music.

The duo’s ethos since day one is to create without any digital input and in keeping with that, the LP is entirely synth and machine produced. For the anoraks in the crowd (I sees ya!) here’s a tantalising sneak peak at what lies beneath the hood: Korg MS20, Yamaha RM1X, Roland Alpha Juno 1, Nord Lead X2, Roland Tr8, Elektron Octatrack, Cyclone TT 303, Korg Electribe Sampler 2, Novation Bass Station… the list goes on. Cue hardware envy.

With shades of classic, acid and deep house and a healthy does of groove, Traffic Jams is an accomplished debut, and the midnight marauder ‘Velo’ is, in our humble opinion, the pick of a rather fine bunch.
